2019 Coaching Workshops and Accreditation

Now is the time to get your coaching accreditation up to date for the 2019 Season, so you can sign-up for the many FREE Workshops and resources we have on offer. These workshops are available for all age groups from Junior, Youth and Senior.

Registration for Coaching Workshop’s are now done through the Coach.AFL Platform, and you must have an ACTIVE Coach.afl Membership.

5 steps to sign-up for a coaching workshop:

1 – sign up / log in to Coach.AFL (all coaches need to be accredited for season 2019 to coach a team)

2 – scroll down to ‘Coaching Workshops’ (map of Australia)

3 – click on NSW

4 – scroll to Sydney East Region Workshops

5 – Sign-up to the course you want to attend

Description of the Workshop – Prep to Play; 

AFL IS A 360 SPORT – The skills learned in the ‘Prep to Play’ Workshop will help your players move better and respond to what’s going on around them.

It is designed to give structure, guidance, education and resources to assist coaches to further develop their existing programs, by concentrating on 2 key concepts;

‘Movement Skills’ – Jumping and landing, Deceleration, and Change of Direction

‘Football Specifics’ –  Tackling, Groundballs, and Awareness.
