AFL Sydney Combines set for January

The AFL Sydney Combines have been set for January with female only combine included for the first time.

Participants will be tested using the latest AFL protocols and methods for athletic and skill testing (Yo Yo test, agility test, vertical jump and 20m sprint, etc.).  Players will also be assessed on their skill level, kicking and handballing (left and right sides). Participants will receive a report of their results following the Combine and asked to return later in the year to see how their personal development has improved.

Combines will be conducted at three venues across Sydney with all athletic testing conducted indoors to achieve consistency of results across all Combines.

Representatives from the AFL Talent Program, Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS Academies will be present to assist and view players as they are tested.

Education sessions will also be conducted including topics such as nutrition, stretching techniques, injury management and umpiring.
