AFL Sydney Juniors Development Carnival 2025

That is a wrap on the 2025 AFL Sydney Juniors Development Carnival!

The AFL Sydney Juniors Development Carnival comprised of teams in each region for the Under 9’s, 10’s and 11’s age groups where players from each junior club in their respective region would join together to compete on the day.

AFL Sydney worked with senior clubs who provided coaches for teams in their regions as well as held a training session in the lead up to the carnival.

Games ran with modified timings giving all teams the opportunity to play against other regions in their pool then where a presentation ceremony was held at the conclusion of the final games of each age group.

With this year’s event being the first time back since 2019, we had a big Sunday planned for teams in the Under 9 Boys, Under 9 Girls, Under 10 Boys, Under 11 Boys and Under 11 Girls representing each of our 10 regions below with over 550 players participating.

The carnival would not have been such a success without the hard work of the following people –

• Westbrook, Pennant Hills and North Ryde Junior clubs – We cannot thank you enough for your hard work and dedication in hosting this year’s carnival. From before sunrise to well after sunset plus all of the work in the lead up to the carnival, you all worked extremely hard to put on a fantastic event for all of the teams to play at. You should be very proud of yourselves!
