Day One Results: JS Sports Development and Representative Carnival
It was an outstanding start to the JS Sports Development and Representative Carnival at Mike Kenny Oval today, with the early rain clearing for a fantastic afternoon of highly competitive matches.
The Youth Girls kicked off the Carnival with two undefeated teams taking out the honours – City (Under 10s) and South (Under 12s) taking home the gold medals in the drizzle.
Next up was the highly anticipated Under 15s Youth Girls, where Harbour Mid showed their tight defence to claim the win, before Harbour Red dominated the Under 18 Youth Girls to continue their dominance of the competition.
Wrapping up the day with a thick fog covering both ovals, the highly fancied North team plundered their way to four wins and zero losses, accumulating an 150-point ‘for-and-against’, and wrapping up the Day One action in style.
A massive thank you to all of the volunteers, parents, spectators, players and umpires for a cracking start to the Carnival. See you all tomorrow for Day Two action!
