Day Three Results: JS Sports Representative and Development Carnival

That is a wrap on the 2019 AFL Sydney JS Sports Representative and Development Carnival! Three days of football that finished with the Under 12s playing under lights at Greenway Park.

The day once again started under a thick fog but cleared to a beautiful day for football. We kicked off the day with 10 x Under 9s teams competing for the first title of the day. In another close competition, City Central came up trumps and claimed the gold medallions.

Up next came the Under 10s competition where we saw another 10 teams compete in a fantastic competition. City Central once again topped the ladder at the end of the games to run away with their second competition win for the day.

The fields got bigger as the Under 11s took to the field and we saw another series of good games of football. City East was the eventual winner on for and against, from Western Sydney Orange.

Last up for the carnival were the Under 12s who got the opportunity to play under lights. The City team went through undefeated to take the last title of the competition with a strong display of football.

The carnival would not of been such a success without the hard work of the following people –

  • South West Tigers – to Kellie and the entire Tigers club, we cannot thank you enough for your hard work and dedication in hosting this years carnival. From before sunrise to well after sunset for three days plus all of the work in the lead up to the carnival, you all worked extremely hard to put on a fantastic event for all of the teams to play at. You should be very proud of yourselves!
  • The umpires – thank you to the entire team of umpires who controlled all of the games throughout the weekend. The games wouldn’t happen without you.
  • The coaches, managers and team officials –  thank you for getting all of the teams onto the park and helping all of the players participate across the weekend.
