Volunteer in the Spotlight: Jacquie Sultana

Week Two of Volunteer in the Spotlight features Jacquie from the South West Tigers.

Name: Jacquie Sultana

Club: South West Tigers (who play at Greenway Park, Carnes Hill)

Nick Name: Jacques

Time Volunteering: 3 years

What is Your Main Position at Your Club: Events/Canteen Coordinator

How Did You Become Involved at the South West Tigers: My son had just moved up from Auskick to the Under 9’s and I could see how important it was to help/join the committee as without volunteers there will be no club. I first started by helping run the club photos and Trivia night.

What is the Best Volunteering Advice You Have Ever Been Given: We are here doing it for the love of our kids

What Has Been Your Favourite Volunteering Experience to Date: Managing my sons team Under 9’s and 10’s.. Just seeing their faces each week playing. Their dedication, love and the great friendships they make along the way is priceless.

If You Had to Audition for a Reality TV Show Which One Would It Be? Why: I would love to go on the Block. My husband is great at all the Trades ( I don’t mind getting my hands dirty). I would be great keeping spreadsheets and keeping all the tradies in line however I would need a designer. My imagination is shocking..hehe

What Advice Can You Give Someone Looking to Get Involved in Volunteering: There are many hard working people behind the scenes who are all working hard day and night to help run our clubs. We are all doing this so that our children can enjoy playing what they love. No volunteer job is to big or too small so if you are interested in helping please see your committee as any help is greatly appreciated.
