AFL Sydney Key Initiatives for 2020

In 2020 AFL Sydney has taken a proactive approach to maintaining positive Match Day Environment around our community clubs.

Our 49 Club Presidents have endorsed the following initiatives to enhance the match day experience in Sydney and subsequently enable capacity to retain Players and recruit volunteer support.

  • E-point Deductions for Poor Sideline behaviours

  • Enhanced training opportunities for Ground Managers

  • Increased awareness of the Player, Coach and Spectator Codes of Conduct

It is the responsibility of all stakeholders in our game to promote a better and more enjoyable environment for all.

As a lack of good behaviour can have a direct impact on a Team’s ladder position, it is in every Club’s interest, to ensure measures are in place to ensure good conduct occurs on and off the field.

Volunteer Opportunities:

AFL 9’s:

Don’t let the Kids have all the fun!

McDonald’s AFL 9s is the AFL’s official social version of the game. It’s a fast, fun, free-flowing game that involves 9 players on each team playing on a smaller field. Best of all, it’s ‘touch football’ with no tackling or bumping, making it suitable for everyone.

AFL Sydney Partners

AFL NSW/ACT has engaged a select group of companies to assist you and your club in making choices with regards to your club’s supplier of goods and services. Our Approved Suppliers are well respected within the sporting industry and offer quality products at great value.
