AFL Sydney Junior Finals Venues Announced
AFL Sydney are proud to announce the venues for the Finals Series across both the Sydney Harbour and Western Sydney competitions for 2019.
Western Sydney kicks off the 2019 Finals Series across 7 venues including returning to Blacktown International Sportspark for the first time since 2016. Preliminary finals will return to Greygums Oval (Penrith GIANTS) and Greenway Park (South West Tigers) in Week Two of the Finals with grand finals returning to Bensons Lane (Hawkesbury Saints) for the second year in a row.
Sydney Harbour Finals commence on Sunday 18th August with venues to be announced following the last round of the season. Grand finals will once again be held at Macquarie University and Olds Park (Penshurst Panthers).
AFL Sydney Football Operations Manager – Juniors, Alex Burgin, was excited to announce the hosts of the finals for this year. “To return to Macquarie University, Olds Park and Bensons Lane is very exciting for AFL Sydney following on from the success of last year’s grand finals. We are looking forward to a thrilling end to the season for all age groups and a fantastic finals series across both competition regions. We would like to thank all clubs who host this year’s finals and look forward to working with them all to present the best possible conclusion to the 2019 junior season.”
